New education resource for struggling nonprofit organizations
- Parent Category: News
As nonprofit organizations struggle to stretch resources and compete for dwindling state funding, Nonprofit Works offers services that are crucial to their success and survival.
Nonprofit Works founder, Paul Mastrodonato, formerly directed and presided over the board of a Rochester nonprofit organization. He has helped win state, federal, corporate, and foundation funding for multi-million dollar organizations and small grassroots organizations alike.
Nonprofit Works has welcomed Buffalo travelers to its Rochester courses, and is responding to a growing need for these services in the Buffalo area. The following courses are being offered at the YWCA in Buffalo at 190 Franklin Street:
Researching, Writing, and Developing Grants - Locating and winning funding: Dec. 4, 11, and 18, 9 am - 3:30 pm
Communication Essentials - Reaching your audience with effective collaterals:
Oct. 28, 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Effective Boards - Assessing and improving the usefulness of your board of directors:
Oct. 28, 9 am - 11:30 am
These courses offer regionally relevant hands-on education and individual post-course consultation at significantly lower cost than one-size-fits-all trainings by national organizations.
Details and registration information are also available electronically on the Nonprofit Works website at www.nonprofitworks.com/courses/bufalo.asp. Telephone and fax registration are available by calling (585) 454-4910 or faxing a registration form to (585) 454-4912. Nonprofit Works provides education and advice to nonprofit organizations, and is now offering two courses in Buffalo at the end of October, and one three-part grantwriting course at the beginning of December.
